There is something peculiar about our God: there is no other being comparable unto Him. For this, He desires that we fear Him in all our doings. To fear Him is not to live in terror but in awe of Him. He must be reverenced by His creatures. He reciprocates being reverenced by being the shield and confidence of everyone that does so. The major way to fear Him is to obey His commands. This is the first aspect of loving Him. You cannot claim to love God and refuse to obey His commands. Again, there is no loving God without knowing Him and the knowledge of God is embedded in His word.
For any to operate in strong confidence upon the earth, he needs to fear God by loving Him, obeying His commands which are found in His words and teaching the commands to his offspring so that they too may fear the Lord. When we do this, we hold Him bound to support us in all ramifications in accordance with His righteousness and then we enjoy the milk and honey that flows from the place He has reserved for us. Beloved, what the Lord says in His word is incontrovertible.
You have the latitude to operate in strong confidence if you will follow that which is prescribed unto you by His word. The reason many people claim they belong to the Lord and yet appear wretched on earth is for the lack of the fear of the Lord and majorly found in disobedience unto Him. Wretchedness is not only by looking outwardly scruffy; it is also a matter of the wretchedness of the soul. How rich is your soul in God? What is the extent of the word of God stored up in your heart?
The prosperity of your soul determines the extent of your wellness and wealth. Even if you are given a billion-dollar organization to man, if your soul is not cultured to maintain more than a thousand-dollar enterprise, the billion-dollar enterprise will only continue to downscale until it stabilizes at a thousand. Meaning, please invest more in your soul by prospering it with the word of God which helps you to fear Him and obey His commands. Rest assured as you begin today, your tomorrow will be bright and shiny.
Pray: Dear Lord, thank you for being my father. Thank you for introducing me to your word. Please help me to abide in you and your word in me forever that I may continually reap the dividends thereof in Jesus name.
