Write

Focus: Acts 1:1 - KJV

1. The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Luke 1:1-4

From the beginning of creation until the Israelites became slaves in Egypt and Moses a fugitive in Midian, there was no record of occurrences for man to follow. When the Lord inspired Moses to document the things that He told him happened long before his grandparents were born, if he did not write them down, we would not have the benefit of the facts today. From Moses till date, the knowledge about God and godliness progressed based on the writings of people.

Luke documented the deeds of Christ for Theophilus, a seeming ruler, that he may have understanding of the basis of the Christian faith. The same is available unto us today, many generations after Theophilus, because of preservation. After Luke, many things have happened most of which may not have found their ways into documents or, as we should call them, books. By that, most things are lost on us. Since the word of God is new every day, the perspective released to us per time may differ from that of others. If we do not write them down, we deprive generations of the benefit of same.

The Lord is inviting us to put our experiences into writing. Let men see and relate with that which the Lord did for you, even a thousand years from hence, if the Lord decides to tarry further. A refusal to write is a disservice to mankind and the Kingdom in general. If the fathers had not written their thoughts down, many of us would have been groping in the dark today. Please write.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for the experience I have of you and the intellect to be able to put it all together in one piece. Please grant me the fortitude to put the same down for generations after to learn from and not fall where I did. Keep me sane and instructed by your Spirit that what I write may be true of you and quite meaningful and purposeful for the development of your kingdom on earth, in Jesus’ name. This day, please make your light to shine on me that I may experience your goodness some more for my documentation, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
