Tribulation Will Be Recompensed

Focus: 2 Thessalonians 1:6-7 - KJV

6. Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7. And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

2 Thessalonians 1:6-10

The promise of Christ to the believer is that in the world we shall face tribulation. But tribulation is often implemented on us through other men used by the kingdom of darkness to trouble us. These agents of darkness appear to be having a field day and seemingly enjoying the effect of the troubles they unleash towards us. Meanwhile, there is nothing done under the heavens that has no recompense.

When the Lord will return with His benefits for the believer, He will also give unto the believer’s troublers befitting judgment for all they did to the believer. For instance, the rich man had a reward of weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth, while Lazarus had his good time in the bosom of Abraham. Those who fail to desist from troubling the believer will end up like the rich man while the believer ends up like Lazarus. Regarding Judas Iscariot, the Lord had said, truly it is written that the son of man will be betrayed, but woe is he through whom the betrayal shall come.

The Lord is saying to the righteous believer to please endure the troubles of this world for some while longer and not faint: very soon, the Lord will appear to succor us all. And for them that are the troublers of the believers, He is saying, while it is yet day, there is opportunity to repent and join the band of the righteous. A time is coming soon, when there will no longer be an opportunity to repent.

Please pray:

Thank you, father for the victory you have for us over the world and its troubles. As a part of your body, please grant me the enablement and strength to overcome tribulations. Let me never be moved to strife and contentions because of the affliction of the enemy, in Jesus’ name. In all, when you will be rewarding everyone for their deeds, please do not let me be found wanting in any way, in Jesus’ name. Let this day’s evil never come near me or my family and friends in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
