Focus: Ephesians 1:17 - KJV
17. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Love is the fulfilment of the law, for God is Love. A lot of people assume they know God whereas His judgments are said to be unsearchable. Many are operating in ignorance like Israel spoken of in Romans 10:1-2, assuming they have salvation and do know, but operating outside knowledge. Knowing God is pivotal to salvation for it is extremely difficult to love one whom we do not know. Meanwhile, it is only those whom God gives the spirit of knowing Him to, that can actually claim to know Him to the extent to which the Spirit reveals. All permutations and manipulations in pretext of knowing God are futile.
Moses had seen the burning bush and heard the voice of God but knew not God. He saw the back side of God and knew Him not enough. Paul, used so much for the Church by the Holy Spirit, confessed he wanted to know Him the more. Some assume they know God so much that they need not be corrected in the scheme of things as it pertains to scripture, even when it is clear by the Holy Spirit that they have been in error. The Spirit of wisdom and revelation that gives knowledge of God is a gentle Spirit that resists the proud. Meanwhile, if we must get that Spirit and begin to receive the knowledge of God, we must of necessity seek Him diligently for it is those who seek that find Him.
God seeks those to whom He may reveal Himself that they may be His witnesses to the world and speak correctly of Him as against the heresies that the devil has sold to the world about Him. Many, like the friends of Job, are ascribing to God what He is not and making Him sound unloving and wicked. When we receive the true knowledge of Him, a glimpse of which we have through Christ and His direct teachings, we will discover that God is indeed Love and there is no wickedness in Him, at all. What the Lord wants therefore, is for us to release ourselves to search Him out diligently through the scripture, and discover His true being.

Thank you, Lord Jesus for showing us that once we have seen you, we have seen the father. From today, please help me to see the father through the prism of your person as revealed in scriptures, in Jesus’ name. Please do not let my search for you be in vain, in Jesus’ name. Like Paul, I want to know much more of you, that I may tell the world the truth about you and many more may come to love you through the knowledge of your person, in Jesus’ name. Help me Lord, and let your name be glorified, in Jesus’ name.
