Focus: Matthew 13:29-30 - KJV

29. But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

1 Corinthians 4:1-5

When God created the earth, He affirmed by Himself that it was very good, knowing the quality of His creation. However, like scriptures reckon, while men slept, the enemy sowed tares in the planting of the Lord. The effect of that is that the sowing of the enemy is not easily noticeable to the casual observer. The corrupt in the earth often times appear like the wheat that the owner planted, but they are different in that they are corrupt. So, like a farmer, why is the owner not allowing the tares to be uprooted at once? Since the enemy’s sowing has found root and the roots may have tangled that of the good plants, uprooting the tares may cause the destruction of many wheat plants. Hence, the decision to make both plantings grow together until the harvest.

At the harvest, the planting of the Lord would have fully mature and indestructible. Therefore, both will be harvested and separated. While the good plant is harvested into the Lord’s barn, the corrupt plants, though resembling the good, will be packed and cast into fire. This is the Lord’s warning to mankind. Do not because the corrupt in society are allowed to exist, assume that God is slack. No, He is not slack but is careful not to root out the righteous with the wicked because of their intermingling. Nevertheless, a day is coming and is quite near, when the separation shall occur and will be total as the Lord has no need of tares.

In the vineyard that the Lord has planted, what manner of planting are you? Are you the seed of the Lord or the planting of the enemy? Even if it appears you have been corrupted by the planting of the enemy, you can still be purged and made pure so that you don’t end up with the tares in the day of harvest which is very imminent. Rest assured, your state today is not what determines the place you will be at the harvest, but your state when the harvester comes with His sickle in His hands. Why not purge yourself of all impurity that you may bring forth good fruit and be fit for the Lord’s barn in the end?

SOLUTION: Check yourself in the mirror of the word of God. If you find corruption in yourself, ask God for mercy immediately and have Him guide you by His Spirit into being a pure seed for His harvest.

Pray thus: Father, as one of the plants in your Vineyard, I approach you for purifying. Please make me pure wheat dear Lord in Jesus’ name. As you do this, please do not allow the tares of the enemy to corrupt my being anymore in Jesus’ name. At your harvest, please make me fit for your barn and your barn alone in Jesus’ name. This day, please chat a better course for me in life that I may be yours forever, in Jesus’ mighty name.
