Focus: Matthew 28:18-19 - KJV
18. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:16-20
There is a basis for Christ directing all His disciples to go and teach all nations. Except they be thought, they will not know the true God and unless they do know Him, they cannot love Him as commanded. The essence of all things is dominion over the earth. Before the death and resurrection of Christ, dominion rested in the prince and ruler of this present world. But, upon His resurrection, Christ declared that the dominion power had been given unto Him. That makes the ruler of this present world impotent regarding the power over the earth. Yet, unless the people know it, they will remain in captivity on their old belief and be in servitude when there is no longer slavery.
The story was once told of a lion cub who was raised alongside sheep because he strayed in his infancy and was rescued in the herd. In all his manners, he was like a lamb until the day he saw his kind and reality dawned on him. Another story has been told of a young maid who was in an air flight from one destination to another but refused to take those things to which she was entitled in the course of the flight not knowing it was a part of her flight package. She ended up starving through the entire flight because she lacked understanding of the fact that all had been paid for.
The Lord is saying to us that there are still many people who are being deceived by the impotent prince of the world to believe that power and dominion resides in him. Unless we go to tell them and open their eyes to the truth, they will remain in the bondage of the enemy. God is counting on us to do this so as to rescue many from the destruction planned for them by the enemy. As we fail to do what is instructed, we are in disobedience to the one who loves us and brought us into salvation; we are selfish and lovers of our own selves without loving our neighbors. Let us therefore arise with greater determination to fulfil the Lord’s command from today.
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for those you appointed for me to tell me the truth of the Good News. Please bless each one of them to the very end in Jesus’ name. As I believe in you and I am a great recipient of your Kingdom benefits, help me to go and teach many others that they may also partake of these benefits to the glory of your name, in Jesus’ name. Please do not let me lack any good thing in my quest to get others drawn unto you. Let your blessings rest with me and everyone that receives your word through me, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
