Focus: Romans 8:30 - KJV

30. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

John 17:22-26

Jesus is the King of Glory: He is the Lord strong and mighty, the one who is mighty in battle. He set His glory aside to battle with the enemy for the reins of the earth and He got the victory. Hence, because of His love, for which He volunteered for the battle, He prayed that the believer may be in Him like He is in the father. This means, the glory He bears, the believer bears in Him. No one believes except those drawn by the father to Him. Hence, it is those whom the father predestinates to believe that are drawn and justified. Many feel they believe but do not because they are not drawn of the father. They believe the wrong things and are simply sons of perdition.

Rebecca was pregnant and carried two sons in her womb. When she enquired, she found that God preferred one to the other. The Lord as Creator, already knows what each creature is capable of even from the foundation thereof. True to type, Esau would not obey God in his parents not to marry the heathen. Wherefore, he was profaned. Judas had the best of pastors anyone can crave for. He refused to believe God through his pastor. He was full of lust for money and thereby sold his pastor for pittance. He lost the opportunity to be glorified with his pastor, who incidentally is the King of Glory Himself.

The Lord wants us to appreciate the fact that He is the one that called us according to His purpose and loving intentions towards us. We must however realize that the glory of Christ is made available unto the believer but only those who remain in Christ and not the sons of perdition. Some do pay lip service unto Christlikeness but their hearts are far from Christ. There is no way the Lord will allow such people to operate in the glory of Christ. Today, we are reminded of our responsibility to God as Christ has declared the father to us and us to the father. We are expected to operate in that to which we are introduced which is to obey Christ and keep His commands.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for calling me out of the darkness of the world into your marvelous light. Please keep me in your light that I may be a partaker of your glory to the very end, in Jesus’ name. Please do not let the world or the things thereof lure me out of the way of your glory, in Jesus’ name. As Christ is glorified and has prayed that you glorify us with Him, please answer his prayers for us dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. Christ has prayed that you please keep us where He is, please do so and keep us glorified, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
