Focus: Daniel 12:3 - KJV
3. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Matthew 13:43
The word of God says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The Lord Himself is one who is a forthright business person who hates waste. It is wasteful to create many men and have a chunk of them thrown into fire to burn without a benefit to the Kingdom for which they were created initially. Hence, He devised a means of rescuing everyone that has been directed by the enemy unto the way of destruction by having His agents redirect them to the true way that leads to eternal life, as against damnation. That which he devised is the way of evangelism, which way brought many of us out of the wide way to the narrow path so that we can claim today to be the children of God. As He invested in us to be so redirected, He seeks to use us to redirect others also and so, He commands that we go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all nations. When we do, many would hear, believe and be redirected from the path of death and destruction to life.
Well, since the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, they that are wise will fear God and His command regarding going into the world to preach, and do so purposefully. Serving God is never in vain as God is one that embraces the principle of reciprocity. With Him, nothing goes for nothing. When we obey His voice to do His bidden, He adds something to us that sets us apart from others. So, when we preach the gospel, we are made to shine brightly as stars. Though a doctor of laws, Saul of Tarsus was unsung despite all that he knew and his supposed efforts for God. But when he caught the vision and started to evangelize, God turned him into a shining star to the extent that in his absence, handkerchiefs and aprons from his body healed the sick. He did shine as star while alive, and even now, many years after his demise, he keeps shining on and on for as long as the gospel is preached; and I reckon he will keep shining still.
Every individual seeks to shine but they do not know the righteous way to do so. Some do cut corners to get the recognition of men. Others keep putting many methods to action but achieve nothing by it. The best way to shine is to be part of God’s program of restoring men to sonship. By so doing, the Lord delights in us and ensures our shining. Not only will we shine here on earth, we will also shine in heaven as crowns of righteousness are reserved for us thereat, even as the dwellers on earth are not likely to easily forget us. Many preachers are gone; yet their names still ring a bell today because of the work they have done. They keep shining as stars. Do you really want to shine? Be wise: preach the gospel.
SOLUTION: Make a resolution today to preach the Gospel to at least one individual in each day for the rest of your life. Who knows, one of the converts from your actions may become a super evangelist tomorrow telling the whole world how God used you to bring him/her to Christ. Don’t waste the opportunity.
Please pray: Father, I want to obey your order; please guide me to where the worthy fishes are, that as I launch my hook, I will catch for you those who will be of great benefit to your Kingdom, in Jesus’ name. As from today, I receive the boldness to preach to everyone, no matter the status, in Jesus’ name.
If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
