Focus: Daniel 7:18 - KJV
18. But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.
Revelation 2:26
God is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him. The reward is not only in the present arrangement but also hereafter. It cannot be right that some people spend all their time promoting and relishing darkness and put its harshness on others without a recompense in any form; and yet some others would spend their time reverencing and obeying the tenets and injunctions of God without a reward of any kind. The promise of God for the latter group is to rule over many nations and possess the kingdom forever. Those who imagine there is no God will be proven very wrong at the time; and anyone who has believed them to live irresponsibly like them, will have their regrets irreparably.
The Biblical stories as written and particularly as told by the Lord Jesus Christ are so true and ought to be taken for it on its face value. He gave us an indication that there is resurrection from the dead and that there is life hereafter when He told us about the rich man and Lazarus. We even know that God is the God of the living and not the dead. We realized that Elijah and Moses are still functional in another realm when they appeared to Him at the mount of transfiguration. He Himself appeared to many after rising from the dead on the third day after He was killed by being nailed to the cross. All these are a confirmation that God is real and will reward His saints after this life.
The Lord is inviting us to enroll if we have not, and if we have, we should be resolute to continue, in righteousness through Christ so that none may steal our crowns. Some will be known on earth to be saints but will be rejected by God who knows all things for they have secret sins. That this may not happen to us, the Lord is asking that we forsake our secret sins and embrace total righteousness so that we may be received as saints for the enthronement ahead.
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for the hope of my inheritance with the saints. Please do not allow me to forfeit my crown in foolishness, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. Keep me faithful in you to the end so that I may not suffer double jeopardy in the end, having first put my body under with a view to pleasing you on earth, do not let me forfeit the eternal crown that you have reserved for the saints, in Jesus’ name. Please help me to be faithful to the end that I may be a beneficiary of your promise, in Jesus’ mighty name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
