Focus: 1 Samuel 14:21-22 - KJV

21. Moreover the Hebrews that were with the Philistines before that time, which went up with them into the camp from the country round about, even they also turned to be with the Israelites that were with Saul and Jonathan. 22. Likewise all the men of Israel which had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the battle.

1 Samuel 29:1-7

There are circumstances of life that may warrant some people in distress to abscond from their regular associates. When confronted with real danger, the tendency is for men to hide from the face of it. However, when the coast becomes clear, there is a drawing to return to the midst of the associates in the form of a reunion, for progress and greater victories. God ensures that when His people are in conformity with His doctrine, they be not scattered.

A situation was, when Israel was in dare strait because of distress at war, that some men went hiding in caves, thickets, rocks, high places and in the pits, away from their brethren and from the face of battle. When Saul became king and led them to battle, they returned to the fold to confront a common enemy. When Saul sought to kill David, the latter fled from the face of the king to hide in the land of the enemies. When war came between Saul and the enemy, David was not accepted to battle on the side of the enemy as he was seen as an Israeli to the core, who may not battle against his own kin.

There is an assurance from God this day that those that had deserted us to appear to have teamed up with the enemy, shall be restored to us and fight on our sides, not against us. Hence, from this day forward, everyone that the enemy had used as instrument against our wellbeing shall be restored to fight on our sides and behalf to the chagrin and mesmerizing of the enemy. Victory is sure and asserted, in Jesus’ name.

Please pray:

Thank you, father for not allowing the enemy to overcome me in battles where I had been deserted by my friends. Please restore to me my true friends and kin who were deceived into believing a lie told by the vipers of hell, and grant us victory together by your word and kind support, in Jesus’ name. Let this day mark a supernatural turnaround for better in my relationships, to the glory of your name, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
