Focus: Acts 3:6 - KJV
6. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Acts 9:32-35
The Bible states clearly that money answers all things. This gives some people, perhaps, some impetus to place their reliance on money which has taken their entire focus. Unfortunately for them, we have seen people extremely rich, taken over by sickness, who would have preferred to trade their money for health but could not, and lost their lives for it. But the name of Jesus Christ is much more valuable than silver and gold. What money could not afford the woman with the issue of blood, she got by touching the bearer of the most powerful name under heaven.
The duo of Peter and John knew the expectation of the lame man at the beautiful gate; he wanted money that could answer for him, “all things”. But the Apostles possessed something that answers all things better than money and they offered him that instead. All the money he had collected from the day he began to sit at the beautiful gate could not afford for him what he got on that fateful day simply in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Lord wants to show mercy on a user of this devotional who has been looking to men for money to solve some seeming naughty problem in life. He has come to reveal anew the power in the name of Jesus Christ that is worth much more than silver and gold. Hence, he wants the same person to prove Him by using the name of Jesus either to pray for him/herself, or for the person affected which is giving him/her loss of peace. Today, the Lord will show Himself faithful in your affairs through the use of the name of Jesus Christ.
Please pray:
Thank you, Lord for the name you have made available to us which is more powerful than silver and gold. As we put the name to use today, all over the Streets, please make it work for us all better than it did for Peter and John that day, in Jesus’ name. From this day hence, let the name be potent in our mouths for the pulling down of enemy fortifications and restoring men to good life, in Jesus’ name. And so, even now, let the earth begin to yield its increase for our benefits in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. (Please put your specific request and pray God to deal with it in Jesus’ name.)
