Focus: Romans 5:5 - KJV
5. And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Acts 2:17-33
The believer ought to know affirmatively, the one in whom he believes. It is in this that he is not deceived into believing that the promise of hope is a fluke. Therefore, when the enemy comes to him with fables trying to make him jettison the valued hope he has in Christ, he affirms the more his position and is never ashamed to continue in the hope of glory.
Paul says “According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death“. It does not matter what the wicked hauls at the believer, because of the hope he has of the future to lay hold on, the believer is neither moved nor ashamed.
If those who had gone before us were not ashamed of the one in whom they put their hope and reliance, we, to whom much of that in which they invested is benefited, ought much more to stand in the face of trials and troubles to reaffirm the same glorious hope for which they were willing to lay down their lives. Let us therefore, be determined in hope and refuse to be ashamed, no matter what the enemy tries against us.
Please pray:
Father, I am grateful for the hope of glory that you have given me in Christ Jesus. Thanks for the strength to hold on in the face of trials and troubles. Let nothing separate me from the love of Christ. Please strengthen me at all times by your Spirit that I may be able to withstand the devices of the enemy and remain strong not being ashamed of the hope I have in you, in Jesus’ name. Let my tomorrow be bright and beautiful, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
