Little Is Much

Focus: John 6:9 - KJV

9. There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

2 Kings 4:42-43

The Lord has instructed that we should be anxious for nothing. The one that provides for the needs of common animals has ability to meet the needs of His children. When we worry so much over provisions, we call Him a liar and a weak father. God is not weak. He has ability to turn our little into much. Even when there is none, He can bring the seen out of the unseen. He has the power to command the winds to bring provision our ways.

When in the wilderness, there was nothing to eat, God gave Israel Manna to eat. He even caused flesh to be added to their bread subsequently. Elisha was presented with twenty loaves of barley and he made them to feed a hundred men with it, satisfactorily. He even made a little jar of oil to fill many big containers by the Spirit of God. What then should we say of Christ: feeding five thousand men with five loaves and two fishes and again, four thousand men with seven loaves with leftovers.

It is our day of joy. What the Lord has done before, He can and will do again. He is poised to meet our needs from the little we possess. He is actually asking what it is we have. If we release it to Him, like the young lad did, He wants to use it to meet the problems of many through us. All He asks is that we trust Him. If we fail to release it to Him, He is not the one that would lack. And if the little we have cannot take care of our issues, why not release it to Him? It is the day the Lord has made. Will you entrust Him with your little for Him to multiply it into much in your hands? Go ahead and give it a shot.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for being my Provider from the ages past. I submit the little I have unto you today, that you may use it to meet my needs and that of many others. Please do so, Lord, in Jesus’ name. I have nowhere else to turn and because I belong to you, I am not meant to beg bread. Please meet my needs today from your abundance so that I may never beg bread, in Jesus’ name. Do make me a blessing to many more thereby, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
