Learning God’s Ways

Focus: Psalms 25:4-5 - KJV

4. Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. 5. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Psalms 25:1-7

No one knows the way of the Lord like the Lord Himself. Human teachers are never a hundred percent accurate and therefore, they are not able to teach the way of the Lord excellently as the Lord Himself would. Most that claim to be mentors do not themselves know as much as some whom they seek to mentor because they are equally not fully baked. Half knowledge amounts to illiteracy in right quarters and should be discouraged. Hence, the best teacher anyone can have is the Lord Himself, when it comes to His ways.

Saul of Tarsus assumed he knew the Lord until he encountered the Master directly. From then on, his hunger and thirst for the knowledge of God became insatiable. He started with a human mentor called Ananias who did not understand God enough to know that when He speaks, He is not to be challenged or queried. Before we knew it, he did not amount to much when put beside Paul. This fellow (Paul) then enrolled in the school of the Holy Spirit until he got to the level of differentiating between what he wrote based on the voice of the Spirit and based on his own reasoning which, when considered, could not have been far from the position of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord wants us to know that human mentors are good as He is the one that ordained some of them to teach. But, as we do not know those, He so ordained and since none is perfectly in tune, it is better we all enroll in the School of the Holy Ghost to discover the Lord’s way from the source. Like the Father gave us Christ to listen to, Christ handed us over to the Holy Spirit to teach us all things. Let us therefore, be passionate to learn all things from Him that knows the father and the Son and equally knows God’s ways.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for the extent of revelation I have of you. I want more of you that I may lead a life pleasing unto you. I seek your grace to be enrolled specially in the School of the Holy Spirit this day, so that I may be better than Paul and all that have gone before, in the knowledge of your ways, and that I may be the blessed one that you created me to be, in Jesus’ name. I wait on you Lord; please strengthen my inner man that I may soar for you, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
