Focus: Exodus 33:13 - KJV
13. Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.
Psalms 103:7
All through the existence of the earth, men had sought to know God’s ways but they do not seem to find it even though they see His acts and deeds all around them. Those who do know His ways are able to do great exploits just like Moses and Elijah as well as the disciples of Christ over the ages. Some are confused with the idea that some people have power and utilize it for evil and therefore, it is satanic powers. They then query why such is allowed by God when all powers are said to belong to God. Truth is, God’s gifts are without repentance. If any man takes a glimpse into God’s ways and receives a power gift therefrom, God will not relieve him of the said power. That was why power was given to Moses to open and close the Red Sea just like power was given to Elijah to make fire consume sacrifice. The fact that Elijah used the same power to consume men does not make God, but Elijah, wicked. So, all over the world, there are those who have had opportunity to put to use certain powers for the glory of the Lord, which power the enemy, through manipulation may use for evil means. We cannot blame God for the manipulation of others.
The Lord wants to reveal His ways to us like He showed to Moses but unless we purge ourselves of wickedness such that we will not allow God’s ways to be used for evil and bring His name to the mud, how can He freely show us His way. That is why He has given us the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life, so that if we go by His standards, walk in the ways He walked and obey His commands, then are we clear and sure to know the ways of God for there is no other way to God’s power, salvation and redemption except the way of Christ. Therefore, to know the ways of God and not just His acts alone, like the Israelites, we need to follow Christ. When we do, like the disciples of old, signs and wonders begin to follow what we do. Take that up from today and experience power in a special way. But, please do not use the power of God for evil works.
SOLUTION: The ways of God point only to love and salvation; never destruction. Seek God’s way through Jesus by following His ways and never depart from His commands. When eventually you find His ways and you are established in power, use it for the salvation of men and not destruction of any.
Please pray:
· Give thanks to God for offering you Christ and for showing you His ways through Him
· Pray that God should please reveal Himself to you the more through Jesus Christ that you may operate within godly parameters throughout
· Pray that God in His ways should please empower you for signs and wonders
· Ask God to use you for the healing of the world by reason of His power in you
· Present your personal requests for the day to the Lord
