Keep Hope Alive

Focus: Psalms 71:14 - KJV

14. But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

Ruth 1:7-14

Life has a way of battering people to make them succumb to defeat. Hence, because of particular circumstances in life, many have become suicidal. However, those who wait upon the land do always have their strength (hope) renewed, and they are not allowed to be tired or weary no matter the condition they face. In the end, they soar with wings like the eagle and are able to say, “the Lord has done great things for us”.

Naomi was a sorrowful woman having lost her husband and sons. She was left with two daughters in law, who, in her words, had nothing left to claim in her life for the life had nothing to offer them. She enjoined them, like Elijah did Elisha, to depart from her and find life elsewhere. The one departed but Ruth kept hope alive believing that once she was betrothed to that family, nothing would separate her from it. In the end, she got one of her late husband’s kin to marry her and her latter story was greater than the former.

Someone is reading this today who is wondering what life is worth anymore. The Lord’s message to the same is to keep hope alive. To throw hope away is to deliver a vote of no confidence in God who had promised never to leave you nor forsake you. He is saying if only you will turn the next page in that script, you will discover newness in life. It is not yet the end of the script. The reserved ending is going to be much more glorious than you have been experiencing. Why not hold forth and keep hope alive. Very soon, you will soar.

Please pray:

Thank you, father for I know that I have you in the boat of my life and no matter the turbulence, you will never forsake me. Please command your peace over the storms ravaging my life at this time, in the name of Jesus. Do give me the strength to hold on in faith and to carry through to the next chapter in your script for my life, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. And therefore, before the sun will fully go down today, let your light shine forth for my shining in Jesus’ name. Thank you, father.

Please share with others. God bless you.
