Judgment

Focus: Ecclesiastes 12:14 - KJV

14. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Acts 17:23-31

A time was in this life when people worshipped images made by their own hands and called it God. It is not impossible that some cultures still do. But God is not found in any such practice. He remains who He is without changing. And for everyone that fails to submit to Him, judgment awaits them all. Incidentally, the judgment is not only to punish evil, but also to reward good.

If by the death and resurrection of Christ we all have been ransomed and no one would be punished, then there ought not to be a recompense in judgment which is promised to everyone that sin. Neither would Christ who knew what He was here to do, have told some of the ones He healed to sin no more. What God wants is that we carry His image truly, which image is devoid of evil. Where then evil is found, there will be recompense at judgment.

The Lord is sounding to us a note of warning. Our ignorance will not cause God to deny Himself. The fact that the enemy is lying to us to want us to disbelief and not trust God does not prevent God from asserting Himself as He has promised, when the time to judge comes. Yes, the days of ignorance, which was before Christ’s exposition are winked at. But right now, there is no excuse for evil deeds. Judgment will sort the evil doer from the righteous ones. Let us all endeavor to do good and not evil.

Please pray:

Father, whenever you come to judge the world, let me be found in good works, please in Jesus’ name. Everything in me that may be tilted towards evil, please expunge it today in the mighty name of Jesus. Let the reward of righteousness be mine at your judgment dear Lord, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
