God Rebukes Your Enemies For You

Focus: Genesis 31:29 - KJV

29. It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

Genesis 31:25-30

The enemy looks for every flimsy excuse to destroy the righteous, particularly those they envy for carrying so much grace and have things working out for them. At times, the excuse they need to set out to hurt you is simply that you did not tell them in advance of your flight from their location where they had held you bound as if on a leash like a dog. They that do so lack love in all its ramification. They are self-centered, thinking only of themselves not minding the wellbeing or otherwise of the concerned person. They can also look for a way to call the fellow a thief just so that they may have something to harm him for. They may tell everyone to be on the lookout for him and lay traps that would get him into the net, anywhere he is found. But God is not wicked and He is never in support of their wicked schemes. Nonetheless, there are some that the Lord would confront and tell to desist from planning to hurt His anointed. They that heed His warning get to live on thereafter; those who fail to hearken to the voice of God end up in ignominy.

Laban was uncle to Jacob. He got Jacob to serve him for upwards of twenty years without paying him any wage. God turned His face on Jacob to bless him with a chunk of Laban’s wealth to the displeasure of Laban and, of course, his sons. Jacob discovered that the countenance of his uncle and cousins had turned against him and decided to free himself from their clutches. No sooner had Jacob left, Laban found an opportunity to discomfit his own nephew and helper whom he himself testified of getting blessed because of. But the one who knows the intention of the heart visited Laban and cautioned him against hurting Jacob. But hear the excuse of Laban to hurt Jacob: first, sneaking out and not letting him kiss his daughters and the children good bye; then stealing his idols. Knowing that Jacob was innocent in these claims, God did not consider him culpable in any of it and declared him righteous in them.

The Lord wants us to declare to someone on this platform that everyone who has been taking undue benefit over you and wants to keep you in perpetual servitude shall be rebuked sharply of the Lord today for your sake, in Jesus’ name. If they fail to heed the voice of God, they will end up like king Saul in other battles that you may be free of them in Jesus’ name. Whatever weapon they wield against you shall work against them directly in Jesus’ name. Just like the spear of Saul which he was hauling against innocent children, killed Saul, and the sword of Goliath beheaded Goliath, every weapon of the enemy prepared for you shall undo the enemy for your sake in Jesus’ name. Every user of this Devotional kept on any leash of servitude is set free from now on by the power in the blood of Jesus in Jesus’ name. You are set free and made free indeed, in Jesus Mighty name.

SOLUTION: Be bold and of good courage. Servitude is never pleasurable. Launch out to the destiny the Lord has prepared for you. Let not the fear of Laban keep you on leash forever. Your life is in your hands: declare your independence henceforth.

Please pray:

·      Give thanks to God for opening your eyes and heart to freedom and its beauty

·      Ask God to cause your taskmasters to hear a voice of caution today or perish for holding you bound

·      Ask the Lord to damn every excuse the accuser of the brethren may put forward as basis to keep you on his leash

·      Ask God to embolden you into freedom and let you begin to experience the sweetness thereof from now on, never to be leashed again

·      Ask for your daily bread today

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name
