God Cares

Focus: Matthew 6:31-33 - KJV

31. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32. For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Luke 10:38-42

The tendency for man is to over calculate based on his needs and aspirations per time. We care so much about what would happen in some time to come, a period that we lack control over. Rather than look to the one who is the Great Provider, we spend health and time laboring for things that perish. Is it wrong to be wealthy? No. But the life of man is not mainly about wealth, food, shelter and raiment. All those things are almost a must for God to provide particularly if we reciprocate His care by also caring about His affairs.

The bane of them that stack up wealth in abeyance of the Lord is that no matter how long they live, they do not really enjoy such wealth in the real sense of it. They lose their peace and often times their joy if not their lives, prematurely. Remember the certain rich man. Although what Martha was said to be too cumbered with which does not glorify, was serving the table, albeit for the Lord and His ministers. Yet, Mary found something loftier and was commended for it. Wherefore it is always best to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, as against eye service, so that what the Lord has already portioned for us will not be lost on us.

In simple terms, what the Lord is saying to us today is that He is a good father who cares about us and will never leave us to lack if we will do His will, which primarily is to reciprocate His love. We are to care about the Kingdom not only when we are being supervised but also in all ramification of life. Seeking to prosper is neither here nor there as the race is not for the swift. But if we will submit all our cares to God in prayers, He is sure to come through for us. Pray more and labor less.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for teaching my hands to prosper. Because I am yours, please let everything my hands find to do from this day prosper for my enjoyment tremendously, in Jesus’ name. Do not let me labor and acquire for another to take over, in Jesus’ name. Bless the works of my hands and keep me in peace and joy to the very end, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
