Focus: Matthew 25:31-33 - KJV
31. When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32. And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Luke 13:6-9
All through scripture, there are warnings about separation of the righteous from the unrighteous in the end, by the Lord. There is an end in which the Lord will draw to Himself those that have spent their life in righteousness as against the workers of iniquity. Everything that the scripture foretells, will surely come to performance. It is for God’s longsuffering that the occurrence has been delayed. Nonetheless, when the Lord rises to fulfil His purpose over the earth, as the righteous Judge, He would cause all of the nations to be gathered unto Him even as He judges everyone according to their works and fruits.
There are categories of people on earth: first are those who do not believe in Christ and have thereby lived their lives squarely in the flesh. Since the flesh cannot satisfy God, they will be conscripted to a side and ascribed the description of goats. The second category is that of those who, though believed in the Lord Jesus, but refused to bring forth fruit and have just cumbered the ground for nothing. They will be cut down as chaff and also end up in the fire. And of course, there are those who believe and have lived their lives by the Spirit of God thereby bringing forth good fruit, who will be separated and labelled sheep for great recompense in the bosom of the father.
On this faithful day, the Lord wants us to check our status in Him and be sure where we belong so that when He comes in judgment it will not be like we did not know how it would be. At that time, there will be no room for repentance. Hence, everything we need to repent of we should start handling now and also begin to bring forth God’s desired fruit. Like He said, for those who refuse to repent, on the day of the gathering of all the nations, many will be found in weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. May that not happen to any of us, in Jesus’ name.
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for locating me in you as a believer in Christ. Help me by your Spirit to bring forth good fruit always and never to be found manifesting the works of the flesh, in Jesus’ name. Let your power propel me into good works always to the glory of your name, in Jesus’ name. And when you return, please let me be found by you a worthy sheep, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Please share with others. God bless you.
