4. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
Deuteronomy 1:28
Happy New Month of February to us all. May this month present to us greater blessings than we experienced in January, in Jesus’ name. As we commence the second month of the year, it is important we learn that whatever we conceive to do that is against the mind of God, is faulty and will never have the support of God. When God made man, He decided to operate His Kingdom on earth through the man. When man failed and He withdrew, building a tower to reach heaven to forestall scattering was not part of the plan. God’s intention was for man to replenish the earth.
With the full backing of the Lord, Israel was to possess the land God promised Abraham. Rather than believe and trust God for His promise based on His proven abilities from the time of their Egyptian experience, the people believed the report of their spies and decided to opt for Egypt or the desert. That was a faulty thing to conceive as it pointed to lack of faith in God. The things of God are not to be varied; otherwise, a fault will be introduced.
There is at least a user of this devotional whom God has purposed this message for. Never attempt to change the plan of God or supplant it with your own ideas. When we do so, we remove the hands of God from the affairs and since what we set out to do is contrary to His will, we do not have His support in same and He may alter everything to ensure the coming to effect of His will, subsequently. When the alteration begins, the tendency is for us to feel frustrated not realizing that it is meant to turn out for our good eventually. Stick to God’s concept, always.
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for the grace to witness the beginning of a new month. Do please help me to understand your will and stick with it at all times. Let the benefit in your plans for my life materialize soon enough that I may not develop faulty concepts of my own in place of your will for my life, in Jesus’ name. On this very day, please rearrange my life to take me out of every faulty concept and set me on track to achieving purpose in you, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
