Crying to God

Focus: 2 Chronicles 18:31 - KJV

31. And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them to depart from him.

Exodus 14:15-16

The earth and its fullness belong to God. But then, He has given the dominion over it to the man. Ordinarily, therefore, every man, particularly the regenerated one, should be able to exercise the right of dominion over the earth in very many circumstances. When Israel confronted the Red Sea and it appeared the end had come, Moses cried to the Lord. But the response of the Lord teaches us something. It is not in every situation that a man in dominion requires God who already gave us dominion. Simply, to create a way in the Red Sea, where initially there was no way, all Israel needed to do was move forward and have Moses lift up the rod of dominion to create the way. It follows that when confronted with obstacles, if we understand the leading of God, we can actually clear the path without much ado. In other instances, we may get overwhelmed by the avalanche of opposition that rises against us like in the case of Jehoshaphat. When in such an instance, we get to our wits’ end, we need to cry to God our defender to arise to our help. No matter what, even when the dominion is yours and you don’t know how to assert it yet, just like Moses at the Red Sea, nothing says you should not seek the help of God. When you do, the result comes easier and faster.

Are you confronted with a situation that seems insurmountable? If you are on the side of God, you need not fear the enemy. Like He said to Moses to tell the Israelites, the enemy you have seen today, you will see them no more forever. What you need to do is to cry unto God for help and He will come to your rescue. It doesn’t matter how low you have gone. Bartimaeus the son of Timeus was at the rock bottom when he cried out to Jesus, the Son of the Most-High. Christ did not say because of his status he must not be attended to, like others around assumed. Cry to Him today; His compassion fails not.

SOLUTION: Every problem has solution and there is nothing too difficult for God to handle. Put the matter before God by crying unto Him regarding it. Let Him know precisely what you want done and leave the way it will be done to Him.

Today, Lord, we bring all our problems to the foot of the cross; please resolve every one of the problems in Jesus’ name. Every enemy of our moving forward, dear Lord rebuke them today in Jesus’ name. For us, please create a way where there had been no way in the name of Jesus Christ. Let the enemy be dumbfounded for our sakes from now on in Jesus’ name.
