Focus: Matthew 12:50 - KJV
50. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Hebrews 2:11-18
The brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ are those for whom He laid down His life, who acknowledge Him as Lord and therefore obey the ways He has prescribed to the father. The father sent Him that through Him, many more may become members of the Lord’s family. Hence, relationship with Jesus is not necessarily the world’s kind of acknowledgement of nuclear nexus, but that of spiritual connectivity. Jesus is the first born of many brethren in the light of this revelation. All those who receive Him become joint heirs with Him. He is no stranger to them and can relate with their infirmities having experienced the same and emerged in victory. Hence, He is able to succor His brethren in whatever their plight is, per time.
Therefore, those of us that do love the Lord Jesus, and acknowledge Him, are His brethren. It is possible to assume being part of this group, but, we need to be careful when we so assume for only those that do the will of the father, which He revealed through Christ, truly qualify. The beauty of being part of His brethren is that He has us covered against death, having defeated death for us, such that we that hitherto lived in bondage for the fear of death can now boldly ask death where lies its sting. Today, let us make up our minds as to whether we want to belong to Christ’s brethren. It does not matter if we be Jew or gentile; the criterium for belonging is simply believing and following the words of Christ. There is no discrimination outside of that.
SOLUTION: All the Lord is asking us to do to properly fit into His family and therein abide is to obey His commands. Let us find out those commands and stick with them that we may be pleasing to Him.

· Give thanks to God for loving you and laying down His life so as to give you life and enroll you into His eternal family
· Ask God to please keep you in line with His instructions and never to err in any of them
· Ask God to give you the benefits of His Kingdom here on earth and to bestow on you the blessings of sonship in Him
· Pray that all those who are yet to find themselves in the Lord’s family will find conviction to do so, to the glory of his name
· Ask for what else you desire that will make your joy full.
