Focus: Psalms 128:1-4 - KJV
1. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. 2. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. 3. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. 4. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.
Psalms 112:1-5
Ordinarily, fear is a torment to many. But, fearing God is simply loving Him and holding Him in awe. It is no torment of any kind but a source of great blessings. For they that fear God show Him love by doing the things that He approves. They walk always in the ways of their God: they neither veer to the right nor the left. They are predictable and straight jacketed. But in the end, they not only settle down to eat the labors of their hands, it is surely well with them and they are absolutely fruitful with their children also being blessed. Indeed, their offspring never lack good things because of their loving God.
Daniel was highly predictable to those who sought to destroy him. They knew he could not be flawed or easily entrapped except in things that pertained to the love or fear of his God. Hence, when they sought to get him, they tricked the king into making laws which they knew would affect Daniel’s love for his God. True to type, Daniel could not be dissuaded from the fear of his God by the decree of the king. He remained minister in the land for five kingly generations without any hurt coming to him. Even the heathen knew he was blessed and that he had connection with the Most High.
Today, all we are enjoined to do is simply to love God enough as to not deviate from His ways. When we stick with Him, He promises to bless us to the great extent that even the blessed will see and refer to us as blessed. God however, wants us to know that the enemy would try our faith by sending things that will put us to task to make a choice between worldly pleasure and the fear of God. It will always appear a difficult choice but that it is only a trial. If we choose the love or fear of God, we shall have the blessings that follow it. Let us be vigilant and decide for God, and life.

Thank you, father for showing me your way. Please keep me fixed on the same to the end in Jesus’ name. You know Lord that I do love you. Help me in my choices to always pick your fear in Jesus’ name. Do let the blessings of loving and fearing you, begin to manifest in my life and that of your children by me from today better than ever, in Jesus’ name. Put the adversary to shame in my affairs that I may remain yours forever, in Jesus’ name.
