Focus: Acts 27:22-23 - KJV

22. And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship. 23. For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

Ezekiel 37:1-10

There is something that we miss about belonging to God and serving Him. Those who belong to God are known of Him and He ensures that they are never caught unawares by the enemy. Even if the enemy succeeds to affect them a bit, the Lord sees them through and ensures they get the victory. God is absolutely a trustworthy Ally who does not leave His own to the mercy of the enemy. Even when at the verge of death, the Lord comes through like thunder for them either personally, through angelic ministry or in a vision. To however operate as God’s and serve Him, we must be ready to obey what He instructs even if what we see is contrary. Obedience begets performance.

Ezekiel was shown the valley of dry bones and was not sure they could ever live again. But, because he was serving the Lord, he obeyed His instruction to prophesy; and before long, dry bones that stank became a live army. Paul and Silas were kept in prison. They did not countenance their inconvenience but went on to pray and sing hymns to their Ally. Before long, their chains fell and they were freed to go from their incarceration. While on a tumultuous journey, God reassured Paul of his safety and that of those who were with him, through an angel’s message. In the end, safety was theirs. Elijah was to leave Cherith to a widow’s house to be fed as the brook was going dry. His obedience brought performance.

The Lord has information for everyone that claims to be His and are serving Him: for as long as we are ready to obey Him, He is always available unto us. It is not enough to claim to be His without obeying His commands. When we obey, He comes through for us much more regularly; and the converse is equally true: if we fail to obey a command, we are not to expect another. Therefore, let us be intentional in paying attention to the Lord’s instruction while we pray; and not just hear but do whatever He directs for to obey is better than sacrifice.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for the opportunity to be connected to you. I appreciate your voice and the ministry of your angels over my life. Please help me to get the full import of every of your instruction per time, in Jesus’ name. Do also help me to be bold to obey your instruction no matter the circumstance, in Jesus’ name. And, as I obey your instructions, let the intended impact manifest for me dear Lord in Jesus’ name. Let this day be the beginning of my super victory, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
