Assurance Of Safety In God

Writer: Jide OlaoreJide Olaore

Focus: Job 17:3 - KJV

3. Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who is he that will strike hands with me?

Romans 8:31-33

From the little we know of our God, it is clear that there is no being mightier or greater than Him. For that sake, no one challenges Him successfully. Therefore, whenever He is on the side of any man, no enemy is able to upturn such a man. No wonder the Bible records that for the sake of Israel, He rebuked kings and warned them to touch not His anointed and do His prophet no arm. He does the same for everyone that operates in His love protecting them from being stricken by the enemy.

The strength of Israel is much more available to the believers in Christ because of the atonement for our sin. Now, God sees us through the prism of the righteousness of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. As against the nation that operated purely on the blessings of Abraham but were still susceptible to the consequence of the sin of Adam, God watches more over the beloved that He has adopted as His children. Consider the case of Peter in prison and how He sent an angel to deliver him. Or Paul in the storm, how He assured of him of safe berthing without losing any man. That is what God does for His own, now.

Unlike Job, we are assured of God’s rebuke over kings for our sakes. We are to know that no matter the activities of the evil one, we shall only see them or hear them but they can never come near us because we are for God and He is for us. God however, wants us to trust Him more and stop giving in to fear which is the enemy’s weapon against us that he may accuse us before the father that we lack faith in Him. Hence, from this day, we are to eschew fear because it is a torment and a separator between God and His beloved.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for being for me. Please help me so that I will do nothing to grieve your Spirit in my life. Every adversary and roaring lion around me, please rebuke sharply for my sake, today, in Jesus’ name. Indeed, fortify me in a higher propensity with your impregnable hedge, that I may continue to operate in you, unreachable by the enemy, in Jesus’ name. Let every opposition to my destiny crumble and fall because of your presence, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
