Ask For Life

Focus: Psalms 21:4 - KJV

4. He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.

Matthew 7:6-11

Life eluded man in the Garden of Eden when he, out of disobedience, partook of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Knowing wrongly led him to his doom. But by the redemption in the blood of Jesus, life is available for those who ask the Lord for it, as His children. That is to say, those that are restored to the state before the evil fruit was consumed; a state of flawlessness. There is however a requirement to ask.

There is a distinction between the believer and the unbeliever in the place of prayer. The things of the kingdom are for the offspring of God. They are pearls that must not be cast to swine. Christ himself called the unbeliever swine, while He made clear that nothing good will be withheld from the children, including life. Incidentally, life is in Jesus Christ and such life is everlasting.

God is inviting us to live by Christ so that through His righteousness we may be viewed by God as members of His family. When we do so, we can then ask for life and He would give it to us even with length of days for ever and ever. That is phenomenal! If only we will believe God for His word and look to Him from today rather than operating in unbelief and be considered as swine.

Please pray:

Thank you, father for the provision of a way to life and life everlasting. Please keep me ever connected to Christ and by His righteousness; do grant me life and life more everlasting in accordance with your promise for your children, in Jesus’ name. Let me never be considered a swine and help me to always cherish your deeds and gifts even to the very end, in Jesus’ name. This day, let life begin to show me great kindness and wellness, never to cease again, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
