Focus: Acts 3:26 - KJV
26. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
Acts 3:12-26
After God had rescued Israel from bondage in Egypt through Moses, He promised them a prophet in the similitude of Moses, whom if they do not believe, they would perish. That same was the seed God had promised Abraham. Alas, when the seed did come, they treated Him shabbily not believing Him and killing Him for nothing, but preferring a thief instead. That was the lot of the Jews. For the sake of other nations, the Jews were blinded unto salvation. Now, salvation has been preached to the world (even though there are still places where it is yet to reach), but like the Jews, even others have rejected Christ, for half obedience is disobedience in the dictionary of God. So, like the Jews, the world has decided to crucify Christ a second time preferring the thief who comes only to steal, kill and destroy. Even though the Jews operated in the days of ignorance, the world today has been shown the light but they prefer darkness. Yet, the Lord shall soon return at the time of restitution of all things, to establish His reign and, with His saints, take over the reins of the earth, while others are thrown in the lake of fire.
Beloved, the Lord is asking that we settle down to think again and consider if it be justifiable for us to live in abeyance of all that He has done for us and expect that there won’t be consequences. That we may be saved from the wrath to come, the Lord is beckoning on us to operate in obedience unto the tenets and the words of our Lord Jesus Christ. There is no other way by which we must be saved. A refusal to walk in the way of Christ is a vote for the thief. Let us therefore, be careful to serve the Lord in Spirit and in truth through intense worship, prayers, study of the word and doing the stipulates therein. For our gains are only preserved in Christ if we obey to the end and not in any other way.
SOLUTION: God is not served through disobedience. Let us obey God and embrace His Son, else we curry trouble which makes the children of disobedience end up in the lake of fire in the end. May that never happen to us, in Jesus’ name. If it must not happen, then we need to heed the Lord’s warning.
Please pray:
· Please thank God for making a way for us despite not being Jews by putting them aside for our salvation
· Ask the Lord to please, by His mercy, keep you in the path of obedience and righteousness in Christ to the very end
· Tell the Lord to please ensure that you receive the best of teachers from Him so that you may never imbibe wrong doctrines that would lead to perdition
· Pray that the Lord will remove the wool in the ears of men, and the cloak covering their eyes that they may see clearly that Christ alone is the way to redemption and restitution
· Because you are on earth to live fruitfully, multiplying and replenishing it, ask the Lord to support you with great things like He gave to Adam and fortify you from the devil’s influence
