38. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
Judges 6:11-21
When all hopes appear lost and we seem to be at our wits end; when situations and circumstances appear overwhelming in our lives and it looks like there is no way out, the Lord more often than not makes a way of escape through angelic ministration which in the end leaves the beneficiary in awe. At times, the beneficiary recognizes from onset that he is in an encounter with an angel or angels. At some other times, it appears to him like a dream. Yet, at times, until the deed is fully done, the recipient has no recognition that he has been communing with an angel for the while. When the angel of God comes to deliver God’s errand, he succeeds in it.
Sarah had heard her husband say God had promised them a son and multiple children but her faith could not carry her until angels of God visited them. Gideon looked too feeble in his own eyes to confront the Midianites until an angel of God emboldened him. Mary was never of the opinion she could go into motherhood, not haven known a man, until she heard the words of the angel. Peter had rescinded himself to fate in prison having seen what befell James, his compatriot, in the hands of his abductors, until he was led by an angel, as if in a dream, out of a maximum-security prison of his time.
For a user of this devotional, today marks a turning point in your life for better in Jesus’ name. In that difficult situation, God’s angel is coming for your rescue and you will come out victorious in Jesus’ name. It does not matter what had been before, by the ministry of the angel that is coming your way today, you will inherit laughter like Sarah, overcome your enemies like Gideon, be freed from all incarceration like Peter, and above all, get an unprecedented and one of its kind miracles, like Mary, in Jesus’ name. Congratulations.
